Spring seas

For wild wave watchers (and there are quite a few regulars here!) the past few days have seen a bonanza on our coast. The sea has put on a display at its wintry best with plenty of breakers and spray best watched from the comfort of your car (not too close to the sea wall, mind) with flask of coffee and cream bun in hand.

Sometimes a really big wave will hit the harbour wall with a casual power that makes fun of stone and mortar and with a boom that sends a shiver down your spine. You feel very small indeed. And reach for another cream bun...

  1. Nice post, interesting text and photos. We have Castaway cottage in Lower Largo and love walking the beach up to Elie and back. The sea and sky in Fife is constantly changing and breathtaking no matter what the weather is like. Keep blogging!
